Hi, I’m SAMANTHA HASS, RD, CDN,
I am a Registered Dietitian that provides individualized nutrition counseling for weight loss as well as medical nutrition therapy for chronic conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid, and GI disorders. In addition, I specialize in fertility, prenatal, and postpartum nutrition, ensuring my clients receive the highest level of care at every stage of life.
My personal health journey began when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune thyroid disorder that made weight management challenging. Through this struggle, I learned the power of nutrition therapy for chronic conditions, and ultimately inspired me to become a Registered Dietitian and help others overcome similar obstacles.
I received my Bachelor's in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Psychology from New York University, and completed a rigorous 12-month clinical dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian where I was chosen for their Nutrition Fellow program. I specialized in pediatrics and obstetrics, and had the opportunity to support women with their nutrition through this beautiful time in life. I then spent six years at F-Factor Nutrition before opening up my own Private Practice.
“I'm here to teach you how to approach food in a sustainable and liberating way, so that you can nourish your body while still enjoying your life to the fullest."
My Approach
I offer a premium experience tailored specifically to your needs. I combine my extensive knowledge of nutrition with a personalized approach, ensuring that you receive the highest level of care and attention. My clients enjoy delicious, nourishing food that satisfies both their taste buds and nutritional needs. I am passionate about helping my clients discover a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that is tailored to their lifestyle and goals. Whether you're struggling with a chronic condition, trying to lose weight, or looking to optimize your fertility and prenatal nutrition, I have the expertise to guide you on your journey to optimal health.
CONTINUED GROWTH
Together we will develop the right plan to achieve your goals. I will create your meal plan, share supplemental materials, and guide you through ways in which you can nourish your body while still enjoying your life to the fullest.
In follow up sessions we will discuss mindful eating, exercise, stress management, setting boundaries, traveling, sleep, and more, and will understand how your lifestyle choices can work together with your nutrition to achieve your goals.
BuildING AN UNDERSTANDING
Nutrition education is imperative to your long term success. My goal is not to just give you quick tricks to lose weight, but rather to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions about your health. You'll learn about the importance of carbs, protein, and fat, and how the right balance of nutrients can help you achieve your goals.
GETTING STARTED
I always start with a comprehensive initial consultation where we dive deep into your medical history, food history, lifestyle, and more. During this session, we will get to know each other and set the foundation for success.
MY FOOD PHILOSOPHY
At the heart of my food philosophy is a deep respect for fresh ingredients. I believe that food should be made from whole, unprocessed ingredients. I strive to create meals that are not only delicious but also nutritionally balanced, incorporating a variety of whole foods that provide the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients our bodies need.
I believe in taking the time to slow down and savor each bite. Cooking and eating should be joyful experiences, ones that brings us together with our loved ones to celebrate the ingredients and flavors of our meal. By keeping things simple and focusing on the quality of our ingredients, we can create dishes that are both satisfying and nourishing. My approach to food is rooted in both my Jewish tradition as well as my husband’s Italian traditions— we see meals as a time for coming together and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. I believe that food is more than just fuel for our bodies; it is a way to connect with others and find joy in everyday moments.
I believe that healthy eating should be sustainable and liberating rather than restrictive. Food should nourish our bodies and minds while still allowing us to enjoy the pleasure it brings. With my guidance, you can learn to view healthy eating as a form of self-care, one that allows you to live your life to the fullest while still prioritizing your health and well-being.
