Ingredients
2 tablespoons of miso
4 tablespoons of hot water
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of coconut aminos
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 cube of frozen ginger or 1 tablespoon of minced fresh ginger
1 cube of frozen garlic or 1 tablespoon of minced fresh garlic
6 portions of cod or sea bass fish, approximately 3 ounces each
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
DIRECTIONS
Begin by creating a paste by mixing the miso with hot water. Ensure a smooth and consistent texture.
Add the soy sauce, coconut aminos, sesame oil, ginger (frozen cube or minced fresh), and garlic (frozen cube or minced fresh) to the miso paste. Combine all these flavorful elements, allowing them to mingle and create a delightful marinade.
Place the fish portions into the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let the fish marinate in the refrigerator for 6-12 hours, or even overnight if time allows. This process allows the flavors to infuse the fish, resulting in a truly tantalizing dish.
Once the marinating time has elapsed, it's time to bring the flavors to life. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, allowing it to become hot.
Sear the marinated fish portions on each side for approximately 3-5 minutes, creating a beautiful caramelized glaze on the outside.
Transfer the partially cooked fish to the oven and continue cooking at 375°F (190°C) for 7-8 minutes. This step ensures that the fish is perfectly cooked through while maintaining its moisture and tenderness.
Once the cooking process is complete, prepare yourself to savor the flavors that await you.
